Typically, you should not have to reset your Kindle. In the unlikely event that you need to reset your Kindle, use a paper
clip or other small object to press the Reset button on the left side of the back of the Kindle. Your Kindle will take a few
minutes to restart.

If your Kindle does not power on or is unresponsive during use, try resetting the device by disconnecting your Kindle from any power source, and then sliding and holding the power switch for 15 seconds before releasing.
Note that the screen will be blank for about 30 seconds while your Kindle restarts.
