Toshiba e830 hard reset
Resetting is equivalent to restarting a
PC. Reset your Toshiba Pocket PC e830 when a button or tapping the
screen does not respond. When your Toshiba Pocket PC e830 is reset, all
data that was not stored during operation is deleted.
NOTE If the functionality cannot be restored even if the reset button is pressed, initialize your Toshiba Pocket PC e830.
When the power is on, use the stylus to press and hold the reset switch, then release.

Clearing Toshiba e830 Memory
When you initialize your Toshiba Pocket PC e830, it returns to the status when it was purchased.
When you initialize your Toshiba Pocket PC e830, all data stored in the memory is deleted. Your Toshiba Pocket PC
e830's initially installed programs are not deleted.
Before initialization, remove all CF Type II or SD Cards.
The data stored in the Flash ROM Disk will not be deleted even after initializing. To delete the data in the Flash ROM
Disk, use File Explorer.
1. Turn off the power
2. Press and hold the power button with one hand while using the stylus to press and hold the reset switch with the other hand.
3. Release the power button.
4. When a screen appears, release the reset switch. When initialization is complete, the Welcome screen appears.
5. Follow the instruction on the screen to set up the system.
