hard reset Unitech PA963 Warm Boot
To perform a warm boot while the PA963 is operating, insert a pin (paper clip works well) into the reset hole on the back of the terminal, right below the PCMCIA cover.
Under the Windows folder of your terminal, locate the file BootMode.exe, execute the program, and confirm the warning message.
WARNING: Warm Boot will cause unsaved data to be lost.
Cold Boot
Press the coldboot buttom underneith the PCMCIA cover, the terminal will perofrm coldboot.
NOTE: Cold Boot will cause the PA963 to return to its original factory settings.
Terminal either dow not respond, or responds inaccurately to touch screen input.
Perform a warm boot - WARNING - Unsaved data will be lost.
or
Perform a cold boot - WARNING - Terminal will be reset to default settings and data will be lost.
PA962 Terminal does not power on. Terminal shuts itself down. Terminal either dow not respond,
or responds inaccurately to touch screen input. Bar code not read. Terminal will not shut off.
